Bihar Needs more Development

It’s always been wonderful listening about the progress of my home state (Bihar, India). I heard and read a lot about the GDP growth, Per-Capita income, and enhancement in basic educational and health care facilities through some speeches delivered by honourable chief minister “Nitish Kumar” in the award ceremonies. It is also almost supported by national electronic and print media as well as a large quantity of educated NIBs (Non residential Biharies) living in India and outside. Although i do believe & think; now we are in the list of developed state of India, it looks something wrong and something more when i go through regional media and the people. I can say it as Bihar needs more development and different route in some cases.

Just go out of the city will open our eyes on the development that we are talking about. Most of Bihar’s population live in the rural areas and there are a huge percentage of them who are not even touched by the so called development. Their lifestyle is still the same as twenty or thirty years ago. The farmer’s situation can't even be explained. The amount of money we pay for essential commodities, only a fraction is reached to the farmers. The middlemen and bureaucracy eats most of the money. The real producer of the commodity will not have anything to say about the sale of his produce. Take the example of the current rise in prices of essential commodities. The middlemen pay the same amount of money for the farmers produce that they use to pay before the price hike eating up majority of the junk that they do not deserve. Government talks a lot about them but at the end do not do anything concrete to push the advantage of pricing to the farmer.

The essential services like Health, Education, Security, Sanitation and Transport are in the miserable state that can't be explained. There is nothing like a good medical care in rural parts. People still travel long distance to get the medical care that i would say pathetic. Accept the counted facilities; nothing is available in the state run hospitals. And even it is far ways from rural areas with less in amount. If by luck, somebody has a little money that they can afford, they do not pay a visit to the state run hospitals.

The worst thing in the state is education. In last few years the government have recruited lakhs of teachers of poorer qualification (certificate based requirement, u can thing the value of certificate in Bihar). No intellectuals can trust on government school. Although several programs are being run by government like; Khichari, Anganbari etc. to attract child, it is affecting the quality. Only mediators are getting advantage of it in terms of money. All the glory of the state run schools, colleges have gone. Private institutions are eating up the life earnings of the people in the name of education. Education has become a commodity that it depends on the money that you have to get the quality of education.

I don't have to mention about the security situation. The state security establishments are so corrupt that people instead of trusting the police they go to illegal elements to get solutions for their problems because with the same amount of money they have to pay to bureaucracy instead if they go through unlawful means they get faster and good service which is a good value for money. The bureaucratic system has been emerged in super power. The state government employee feels so reluctant to solve problems without extra money.
There is too much of bureaucracy and corruption in the country that if you have money you can do whatever you want and they call this a democracy. And i think this is more serious than last government.

Yaaa,,,,There are a lot have been done by this government but not sufficient to show off like this...................so,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Bihar needs more and more development.
